Liverpool transfer news is breaking all the time and it has been revealed Jurgen Klopp still wants Thomas Lemar.
Liverpool reacted to last Saturday’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid by pushing through a deal for defensive midfielder Fabinho.
And the latest reports indicate the Brazilian could be joined at Anfield by one of his former Monaco team-mates if Klopp gets his way.
Transfer Market Web claim Liverpool, who wanted Lemar last summer and after losing Philippe Coutinho in January, remain eager to sign the playmaker.
And they have revealed the price at which Monaco are willing to do business for the 22-year-old, who’s set to star for France at the World Cup in Russia.
According to Transfer Market Web, Monaco will strike a deal at around the £101m (€115m) mark.
That figure would outstrip the club-record £75m fee Liverpool handed over for Virgil van Dijk.
And it would make Lemar the third summer arrival at Anfield, after Fabinho and the incoming Naby Keita.
Liverpool could of course use their positive relations developed by Fabinho’s move to negotiate an agreement for Lemar.
Fabinho and Lemar are not the only players Liverpool could raid Ligue 1 for ahead of next season.
Klopp is chasing a deal for Lyon captain Nabil Fekir, who plays his international football alongside Lemar.
Fekir has bounced back from a serious knee injury to emerge as one of France’s top prospects.
And Klopp is desperate to bolster his potent attack by getting the 24-year-old on-board this summer.
Liverpool are also keen to sign an upgrade on goalkeepers Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.
