MANCHESTER, England -- Pep Guardiola says Manchester City's trip to Tottenham Hotspur is now the most important game of the season but he will again be without striker Sergio Aguero.
City have lost their last three matches, being dumped out of the Champions League by Liverpool and missing the opportunity to win the title against rivals Manchester United.
Guardiola says it's crucial to get back to winning ways quickly, with six points needed to secure the title, but he will be without Aguero, who aggravated a knee injury when he was caught by a strong challenge by Ashley Young in the derby defeat.
He came on as a second half substitute in the second leg defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday but has not started a game in six weeks.
"Aguero is injured. He was injured before the [Liverpool] game but made a huge effort to help us for 10 to 15 minutes," Guardiola said.
"After the actions from Ashley Young against United, he had problems with his knee and could not train."
Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho is suspended while John Stones is also ruled out through injury.
