Griezmann has a £88m (€100m) release clause in his Atletico Madrid contract and is likely to be one of the most sought-after players in the world this summer.
The France international opted to stay at Atletico last year following a transfer ban, ending Manchester United’s hopes of signing him.
But it appears increasingly likely Griezmann will be allowed to leave and Barcelona are the front-runners to sign him.
And Suarez, Griezmann’s potential new team-mate has strongly hinted that the 27-year-old is on his way to the Nou Camp.
"It makes the club proud to bring players of this quality like Antoine, like [Ousmane] Dembele and [Philippe] Coutinho came," he told Radio Rincon.
"He's a player who brings a huge amount, he has a lot of years playing at the highest level, always fighting.
“He rules up front for Atletico and that is fundamental.
"He is not coming to take the place of anyone, but with the ambition of winning important things. He will be welcomed."
One club Griezmann is unlikely to join is Liverpool, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
When asked in a Twitter Q&A if Liverpool had a chance of signing Griezmann, he said: "No – no chance.”
