CHELSEA target Gonzalo Higuain has flirted with a move to the Premier League,Chelsea are said to be interested in landing Higuain if Juventus indicate he is available this summer.
Juve spent £75m on the striker two summers ago but a transfer after the World Cup could be on the cards.
It is claimed Chelsea themselves may be willing to offer Alvaro Morata to use as part of a sweetener to bringing Higuain to England.
The Argentine striker is aware of interest in his services and has cast doubt over his future.
Asked about whether or not he could leave Juve, the ex-Napoli icon said: “I have a contract with Juventus and no-one has told me any different.
“I’m very calm, my soul remains in Turin for now.
“The Premier League? Of course I like it, it’s the most beautiful league in the world and I’d like to play in it.”
Higuain could be available for £52m this summer, a big valuation drop on what Juventus paid for him just two years ago.
However, were Juve to land Morata instead the club board may see that as an investment worth making.
Morata, 25, is five years Higuain’s junior and has already proved himself a competent goalscorer in Italy.
He enjoyed two years at Juve before being sold back to Real Madrid in 2016 when Los Blancos triggered his buy-back clause.
Morata’s departure from Turin in fact led to Higuain’s arrival as Juve reinvested the funds they earned from the Real Madrid deal and the sale of Paul Pogba to Manchester United.
