Real Madrid supposedly had an agreement to sign Mane from Liverpool prior to Zidane’s sudden exit.
However, the Frenchman’s decision to quit the Bernabeu last week has seen the situation change.
Liverpool have denied Mane was ever destined for Real, insisting he would be staying put in a blunt statement.
But Spanish website El Gol Digital say the Senegal international is still on their radar.
Real are hunting a replacement for Zidane with their efforts so far failing to pay off.
Top target, Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino, has already snubbed the chance to take over.
And Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann, aged just 30, has supposedly done the same.
El Gol Digital say Real are convinced Mane will sign, however, if Jurgen Klopp takes over.
The Liverpool manager signed the forward from Southampton back in 2016.
And, since then, Mane has established himself as one of the deadliest attackers in world football.
Taking Klopp, though, could be easier said than done.
Liverpool would be reluctant to let the 50-year-old go given he is yet to land any silverware at Anfield.
And whether Real, even with their unique pulling power, can entice him into moving to La Liga remains to be seen.
