David de Gea is the Spanish national team football player and also the current stopper of the Premier League club Manchester United. De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the football World right now. According to the current report, David de Gea will stay at the Old Trafford till 2023! The 28 years old stopper has increased his contract with the Premier League giants. The Spanish goalkeeper will stay at the Old Trafford for four more years.

In the era of the former boss of the Old Trafford Sir Alex Ferguson, De Gea has been bought in the June 2011 from the Spanish club Atletico Madrid in exchange for approximately £18.9 million which was the record. Wearing the Red Devils jersey, the Spanish goalkeeper has played a total of 367 appearances. With the most successful English club, De Gea won a total of seven titles so far. After jointing at the Old Trafford, the 28 years old goalkeeper helped his team win the English Premier League title. Three years later, he won the FA Cup title and in the season of 2016/17, Gea tested the League Cup and Europa League title.

The 28 years old goalkeeper is very happy by making the new agreement with the Red Devils. The footballer stated that after passing eight seasons with the amazing club, he is very happy and it is an honour to keep continue his professional journey with them as well.

But, the new season of Premier League is not going as expected for the Man United. They have played a total of five rounds but managed just two victories. After winning the first match against Chelsea, they made a draw against the Wolves and in their 3rd round, they faced the defeat against Crystal Palace. Came to the 4th round, Southampton stopped them once again but yesterday when they played the 5th round, finally, they returned to the winning streak.

At the Old Trafford, the Red Devils won by a 1 – 0 goal against Leicester City. The Foxes which won the Premier League title in the season of 2015/16 could go ahead in their inaugural attack but the goalkeeper De Gea stopped the shot of Maddison. In the 8th minute of the game, Rashford took a spot-kick and led the team ahead. The English forward was fouled into the box and the referee gave the penalty.
