Leicester City which team is a Premier League club and once tasted the EPL title but before and after winning the EPL title, they were out of sight almost. Still, they are not one of the big clubs in the Premier League. But it seems that their golden days have returned. After struggling hard enough, they are now holding the 2nd position on the Premier League point table by replacing the current Champion Manchester City. They are three points ahead of the City right now. And, the top-ranked holder Liverpool is eight points ahead. There is a long way to go still and on the way, if the Reds would stumble a couple of times, the Foxes might get a chance of moving to the top. According to their last match in the Premier League, the Foxes moved to the 2nd position on the EPL table!

Earlier today at the venue of Leicester City named King Power Stadium, the home team faced Watford. It was the 15th round for both clubs. The Foxes started the match quite aggressively. By dominating the venue if the whole first half, they could not escape the Watford goalkeeper. The first half ended with a 0 – 0 goals.

Finally, in the 55th minute of the 2nd half, Jamie Vardy led the Foxes ahead. Leicester City got a penalty and it was taken by the English forward. Vardy did not miss the shot but the scoreline became 1 – 0. The game was about to an end with the same scoreline but in the 5th additional minute of the 2nd half, James Maddinson scored the 2nd goal and secured the victory. The goal has been assisted by Justin.

If we look at the match statistics, the home team dominated the whole match and possessed the ball 63 percent. In return, Watford just possessed 37 per cent so far. On the other side, the apprentices of Rodgers took a total of 12 shots and among them, six were on the target. In return, their opponent took only four shots and just one was on the target.

Considering the last five matches of the Foxes in the Premier League, they have won all five times. On the 3rd of November, they beat Crystal Palace by a 2 – 0 goal and in the following next week, Arsenal was their prey. After the international break, they faced Brighton & Hove and beat them by a 2 – 0 goal so far. On the 1st December, Rodgers’s team faced Everton and found their 4th consecutive victory.
