Real Madrid lost points in their last three matches consecutively but after the Christmas vacation, Real Madrid has come with a new look. Earlier today, they have played their first match in the new year and according to the match statistics, Real Madrid started the year with 3-0 win over local rival Getafe. The first half battle was just between the Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois and the lo9cal team Getafe. In the meantime, the Belgium goalkeeper saved his team four times amazingly. From the beginning of the match, Real Madrid was ahead considering the ball possession but the attacking section was dominated by the local team Getafe. Varane jumped and the ball was touched by his head and went to the net. In the 42nd minute of the game, from the tough corner, the shot of Karim Benzema was stopped by the home team goalkeeper. Just before the break, the local team got two amazing chances but both times, Real Madrid goalkeeper was the main obstacle.
In the 8th minute of the 2nd half, through another set-piece, Varane increased the goal difference. From the right side, Kroos made the cross and the French defender’s head found the net successfully. In the 2nd additional minutes of the game, Gareth Bale got the chance of increasing the goal difference but Getafe goalkeeper stopped that.
