LIVERPOOL star Mohamed Salah is expected to join Real Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo approved a transfer, according to big reports in Spain.
Liverpool forward Salah has bagged 43 goals across all competitions, leading to talk of a move to Real Madrid.
The Egypt international is wanted as a long-term replacement for Gareth Bale, whose Bernabeu career appears to be winding down.
Real will, however, have to fork out near £200million to tempt Liverpool into letting Salah go this summer.
Yet Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Real players expect Salah to be among them next term.
And that is because Ronaldo has apparently approved a transfer.
As Real’s talisman, and all-time leading scorer, the 33-year-old has much sway in the Spanish capital.
Previous reports have gone as far to say Ronaldo has blocked deals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Arturo Vidal in the past.
But Don Balon say it is different with Salah, with Ronaldo keen to see the Liverpool star arrive.
After this development, Real squad members reportedly think the Reds talisman is set to join this summer.
Ronaldo also is said to think that Madrid chief Florentino Perez has the nous and experience to get a deal done.
However, BBC pundit Alan Shearer thinks differently - instead tipping the Liverpool man to stay at Anfield.
“There is sure to be interest in Mo Salah this summer from the leading European clubs but I will be very surprised if they gave in as easily as they did with Philippe Coutinho,” Shearer told Coral.
“A lot obviously depends on the player and what he wants to do.
“Coutinho wanted to leave so they had to get the best deal for him.
“I expect Salah to be there next season at Liverpool.”
